Need another Upgrade! Help

Right guys I need a little help from you folk!

I fancy buying a new case. Ideally a Lian-Li V1000 in silver. I dont wanna replace all my watercooling gear even tho it is only a Waterchill kit (no funds to go completely custom).

I would like to simply buy a new 2x120 rad for the system and then mount the bigger rad in the case etc.

Am I likely to get better temps under load over my 1x120 rad and do you think my pump (Hydor L20) will be able to manage the extra pushing round the bigger rad?

I will be cooling an FX53 and a X850XT :)

Thanx for your time guys... :)

I would have thought temps would be better with the new rad and the pump should be ok. I'm not sure whether it would be better to change the block instead of the rad for a higher temp decrease.

Could you not go ghetto custom, get a heatercore from a car etc

Aren't you selling the fx53 though? :p

Asetek sell the hydor30 with the 120.3 rad set-up so I thionk you'll be fine - depends on your pipe size but the AQ50 Phil is selling is a high flow high pressure pump so all those trouble disappear into the night.

I would imagine using a higher pressure pump to get the water around that little bit quicker (in most set-ups pressure is better than flow) and hence will cool things down nice and quick. With the 120.3 rad set-up you will ensure that as the water zips around at the faster pace the extra rad cooling will ensure you have a great system instead of a good system usign the hydor.

Hope this helps - post your results when your done.

Cheers

the l20 is a 700 litres per hour pump

with one cpu block and the the 120.2 you shouldnt have a problem, but only is your running 10mm pipes which form when i had the l20 it uses those sizes...

if your planning on fitting a gpu block or chipset block you may want to consider either a eheim pump or the hydor l30 which i have no, really nice but quite large
