Need advice on a 939 air cooler

Hi guys,

As title says I need some advice on a cheapish air cooler for a 3500+ winnie on the AV8 3rd-Eye board. Any suggestions would be great please .

Decided to get rid of the prommy for now, wish I didn't have to but I'm going to a lot of LAN parties atm and it's becoming such a pain in the **** having to lug it everywhere. So I'm returning to AMD and going air for a while.

If it'll fit, and i'm sure they do on Abit boards, you could try the XP-120 with a YSTECH 120mm fan, I've got mine plodding on at 10x250 at 1.6v, currently at 35c, and that with the fan at 7v. Playing games i up the fan to 12v and temps stay around the same.

Not a cheap solution though, but a pretty good one. Hope it helps

Arctic Cooler Freezer 64 is well worth a look too Keeps my winnie cool even with 1.6V (actual) Vcore.

I've actually decided to go for a G4 mac due to lots of webdesign and audio work coming my way atm. I will however be getting another PC soon after which will b Winnie .

Have a look at the Asus Ice star aswell, its a real monster and it fits skt 939. CPC seem to like it and its been given good reviews else where.

me mum just ordered herself a dual 2.5 g mac for woirk ever thought of air cooled tec cooling more hassle then a prommy can give 50 to 100 mhz over good air coolers lol
