Need advice in Gaming aesthetics (Monitor)

Hello!

I've currently got the following build:

- Intel Core i7 - 3930 CPU @ 3.20 GHz
- 16GB RAM (VIPER 2x 8GB DDR3 2133 MHz)
- ASUS Rampage 4 Extreme X79
- Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 670 - 2GB DDRS
- 256 GB Corsair Force GS ATA Device (SSD)
- Standard 1B Sata hard disk
- Corsair HX 850 Power Supply
- Corsair H80i Liquid cooling
- Standard Blu Ray drive
- Corsair gaming PC case with fan filters

I was wondering what kind of a monitor would best work with this setup.

Criteria

- I don't mind the 27" monitors, i actually prefer them (yes i know wide angle is hard to focus on but i'm used to it)

- Quality, quality, quality.

- Not interested in 3D.


With that being said, i'm confused between an IPS / LED monitor / Gaming monitors.

The choices i have are:

- Asus VG27AH
- ASUS VG278HE

Wasn't there a new Asus monitor - 27" with 144 Hertz AND 2580 pixels?

Appreciate any feedback.

just get an Asus IPS or PLS monitor
i'd stay at 1080p with that card though, 1440p might be quite hard to run

ASUS PB278Q 27in PLS LED or ASUS VE278Q 27in Widescreen LED Monitor or ASUS MX279H 27in AH-IPS Widescreen LED Monitor all very nice units the first is 1440 the rest are 1080
