Need a touch screen laptop recommending

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section but I couldn't see a laptop section anywhere.

My brother wants a laptop for his birthday and his only specification is that it must have a DVD drive (no, an external is not acceptable).

The budget is in the £500 ballpark. I'm thinking either i3 or i5, and touchscreen.

Loads I've seen have poor reviews so I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions

Forget the touch screen for that budget, you will sacrifice image quality.

Note: The battery is not removable and there are no easily accessible upgrade areas (HDD, RAM, etc). You can upgrade if you remove the entire bottom though.
