Well I got the itch to give Vista RC2 a try on the new rig, so I've got it up and running along side of XP x64. As far as I can tell so far, Microsoft truely has a winner on their hands (which all really depends on the price). This go around it actually feels more like a new OS than merely just a reskin of XP. The user interface is pretty much gorgeous, it runs very fast, and the added features are very nice. Everything is well layed out easy to access, and the rearranged control panels, etc are easy to navigate.
Anyone who hasn't had a chance to give RC2 a shot definately should if they have an itch to give Vista a try. I'm giving it two thumbs up so far, no glitches, no crashes, very fast, and looks great.
Now, let's just hope that Microsoft figures out that it's not exactly worth whatever it is that they originally had planned on charging for Vista Ultimate (aren't they wanting to charging something absurd like $400+ for it???). It's definately not worth that, but I'd easily give $200 for it.
Anyone have any thoughts on RC2? I think we're nearing final release VERY soon.
Cheers mate! :wavey:
