Only thing i'd change would be the CPU cooler, the Noctua D-14 is the best out there. It's pricey but you don't seem bothered about cost. Also I might swap out the 590 for two 580's, putting two 590's in would be a complete waste of time in my opinion.

I would be more inclined to go for the noctua nh-d14 and try and get some ram that would fit under it like mushkin or the kingston genesis ram reviewed

ssd wise not sure how reliable those pci ssds are but the corsair force and kingston v+100 are a good way to go

hdd the samsungs are meant to be good but also have a look at the western digital caviar blacks, recently got one and very impressed with it

If it was me, with that motherboard I would use with this cooler http://www.hardwareh...stallation.html in this case http://www.silversto...=usa&model=RV03. The black and gold look would be amazing! Saying that though, if you want the best cooler performance then you want the D-14 but your going to need to choose different memory to go with it.

Which leads me to ask, any reason you wanted that 1600MHz RAM? Why not stretch out for some 2000MHz or even 2133MHz???

Money being no object, then two GTX 580 (especially the MSI lightning) do double team the crap out of the 590 but you will not fit two 580's onto the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3 and have room for the Auzentech X-Fi HomeTheater HD and a OCZ RevoDrive, there just wont be enough PCI-E slots available. If you do want the two GTX 580's and that sound card and HDD your going to have to take a look at the ASUS Maximus IV or MSI BBM bearing in mind that you will defiantly need the CM Haf X for the BBM.

Hope some of this helps.

Edit: P.S. You are going to be using a surround sound speaker setup with this right?

Thanks for the comments I have thought about the d-14 but space over the ram is an issue and I do like corsair ram as for the sound yes it is surround the z5500's are nice and I use my headphones when gaming. I didn't really want to run two cards if I could avoid it thats why I chose to go with the 590gtx. BTW being a typical noob ive posted twice how do I get rid of the second post LOL.

Ofc, sorry, didn't look at your old spec properly. Just waned to check because if you where using just your headset I'd have gone with a different card.

Before going with that memory just read the begging of this review http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/memory/kingston_genesis_4gb_ddr3_2133mhz_review/1

After, if you still the 1600MHz corsair I'll say no more

Gota say that I personally really like the thought of a 590 on that Mobo, just with a different case an cooler.

After you've built it be sure to post it in the rig gallery

Merged threads together.

I like the idea of the Kingston ram Karlos_the_noob although im not sure where to purchase it here in Aus the stuff when I buy it all comes from one online shop as they seem to have a rather good spread of everything but don't seem to carry much Kingston. Also it may seem strange my coming to an overclock site as I Wouldn't have the first clue on how to overclock! I just liked the frank and honest way that tinytomlogan posted his videos! And figured if its good enough when clocked it should be good enough bog standard.

The UD7 has 4 PCI-E slots doesn't it? Or am i mistaken. I'd say go for the noctua and 1600Mhz smaller RAM, if you don't plan on overclocking then high speed RAM really isn't necessary. Then again on sandybridge not alot is needed to get a great clock.

The d-14 is $109 v's v8 at $69 so not a lot in it the views seem unanimous to go for the d-14 so now i've just got to figure out what ram to get to go with my rig. Although tinytomlogan said in his vid that the cooler fins can be removed and different ones put on, the problem then being where to buy the new fins and possible void of warranty.

It's not strange, or at least I hope not as I too have never overclocked a thing in my life. I to got to hear of this site after watching Toms videos thought I'd check it out and its just a great place to get appinions and knowledge. Anyway....

Check out this link http://www.noctua.at...ts_id=34&lng=en Tells you what rams compatable with the D-14 and how to mod the corsair dominator stuff to fit under it. As you'll be able to see, if the worst does happen with the memory than there easy to put back to how you brought them

It does, but check out the board layout and you'll see what I mean. Unless you go for some single slot GTX 580's it just aint gona work

I'm pretty sure you'd be able to fit the soundcard in there aswell, but i think it might drop the bandwidth on the second PCI-E slot with the gfx card in. Sound you would end up with x16 x8 instead of x16 x16 without the soundcard installed. The three PCI-E slots have enough distance between them to fit three cards in, im sure gigabyte would make sure users could SLI and use a soundcard if they didn't mind a bandwidth drop, would be silly to design a board that couldn't

TBH i still like the thought of the 1x GTX590 1x Pcie ssd and 1x sound just neater and easier and that 590 should give me more than enough performance for gaming and watching movies which is mostly what i do, but i love hearing other ideas cause you never know there just maybe better ideas out there. As for the ram im gonna check that vid out now and then go from there.

Cheers Ex.

So all mushkin ram is compatable with that heat sink most interesting i think i can get mushkin from my supplier will get back to you on that.

The mushkin ram i can get is too limited so it looks like the best ram to use with the d-14 is this OCZ DDR3 PC3-17000 Gold XTE 2x2GB OCZ3XTEG2133LV4GK and put 8 gig in instead of the 16gig@1600.

I don't think OCZ is the best call on RAM, could you not get the smaller sinked corsair RAM?

I think I have my new beast sussed as you can see i've now edited my original post Thanks to everyone who commented I'm gonna end up with a wicked machine!
