My NZXT Switch 810 Build

This is my most recent build, and my first crack at water cooling. I like the way it performs, and overall I am happy with it.

Specs:

CPU - 3930k

Motherboard - Asus Rampage IV Extreme

GPU - 2x NVIDIA GTX 680 - EVGA and Galaxy

RAM: Corsair 16GB 2133MHZ Dominator CMT16GX3M4X2133C9

PSU - Corsair AX850 - Red Braided Cables

SSD - 2x Mushkin Chronos 120GB - RAID0

Sound - Asus Xonar DX

Displays - Dell u3011 and Dell 2408WFP

I used all Noctua fans and the rig is virtually silent. Definitely worth the extra cost since silence is what I was going for. I purchased the Corsair red braided cables for my PSU and it's my favorite thing about the system. They are brilliant. I did the other sleeving myself and feel like I could have done better, but that will improve with practice. There is probably a little too much red going on, but I am already planning out my hose and coolant color changes that will come in about 6 months.

Edit: Replaced the red lights with white LED's. I think it came out a bit better.

ps : does your psu also squeek sometimes ?

Really nice build, looks brill.

And as above, please embed the images as many people will not want to click on each individual link.

Nice specs and lovely system. My only gripe, and it's a small one, spin the zip ties around so you can't see the connector on them.

Fixed the images for you, you owe me.

Seems like all that red light dulls the awesome looking contrast of red and black that is going on in the case. Do white lights not look good in black cases?

hay mate planing my rig in this case and was wondering do you think you could fit a dual 5.25 fan controller with the radiator there.

very nice indeed mate but I have to agree those pink lights just wash it out. I know there not pink and its most likely the pics not doing it justice. I like the no lights shots the best

Scroll to 42:20 of Tom's video review. This should answer any questions you have about the res interfering with a fan controller. If you only have a single 5.25 bay res you would be fine with your dual 5.25 fan controller. But, if you wanted to do 2x dual 5.25 you would need to do some modifications.

I don't disagree. I am going to order some white LED's and see what that looks like before I decide on a final look. The red lights are definitely overdone.

I think the white lights would work wonders on your build, especially some superflux leds... mmmmmm.... superflux....

I honestly don't mind the red lighting but its just a lot of it. Maybe just tone it down by taking a strip or two out (if you have multiple led strips in there). White lighting would also look quite nice in there. Man, that build is awesome!

It does look brilliant overall.

However - this is the first time I've actually had anything bad to say about the colours of the noctua fans :/

The two at the bottom are alright, but the rear exhaust looks so out of place to me

Sorry to put a negative spin on it...anyway!

Other than that it does look amazing! you've done a good job!

i like this myself more so with the lights off, not sure i would have used the black cable ties, but i will reserve judgement for when i start my own sleeving project.

i hope my firt crack at water cooling turns out as good as this.
