I am planning on building a new computer, I will be using the computer for game and maybe for web design and photo editing. I want black and green colour schemes. Here the components that I am planning to buy:

Gigabyte G1.Sniper 5 LGA1150 - £369.00
Intel i7 4770K 3.5GHz LGA1150 - £257.94
2Gb nVidia GeForce GTX 660- £217.80
120GB Kingston HyperX Series SATA3 SSD - £76.46
Corsair Vengeance 16Gb DDR3 1600 (4x4Gb) CL9 - £142.74
CoolerMaster Hyper 412 Silent Multi-format CPU Cooler - £28.74
Also a old 1 TB hard drive

I am looking to spend just over £1000 on the components, the computer will be run two OS on it and will be running on dual monitor. what do you think is should change and do you now any where in the UK that I can get them cheaper? Also do you now any good green and black case?

is that 2Gb nVidia GeForce GTX 660- £217.80 a typo, you can get a 670 or 760 for that money pretty much anywhere. elsewise you can get a 660 for 120-140ish, evga ones tend to be black and green.

You can save money on the motherboard - there's no way you should be spending nearly £400 on a motherboard and then getting a £30 CPU cooler and 660 (SLI for that price?)

Why not go for MATX and get the Sniper M5 with a Corsair 350D?

Then get a GTX770, or maybe a 780 with the money you'll have saved from the motherboard?

You should probably go for something like an H100i too, as the 4770k will benefit from better cooling.

Also, the SSD is a little outdated nowadays - go for a Samsung 840 Pro/Evo, and I'd try for some faster RAM too.

...Sorry for changing everything on your list apart from the processor :p

a GTX 660 is £200+ errrrrrr NO!

The GTX 760 / Radeon 7950 are sub £200 and by far much better...... What site are you looking at for those prices ?

Web Design and Photo editing may well be better going with an i5, if you stretch into video editting and encoding, massive rendering, 3D modelling etc......then i7 is good.

Look at Dabs.com for the G1 Sniper 5, its £330, with the cooler, I'd go with the old faithful Hyper 212 EVO, just bare in mind you need a case which has 160mm clearance....so a 200mm+ width case.

Again, the RAM (LINK) is £20 cheaper

Can't really justify that motherboard unless you plan to use all the extra features the Sniper has over the Sniper M5. With the saved £100-150 you could get a better GPU/SSD/CPU cooler. Also what case+PSU do you plan on using for this build?

EDIT- James beat me to it

this is what I an thinking now:

Corsair 350D with Windowed side panel - £89.98
Gigabyte GA-Z87-G1.Sniper M5 - £ 134.99
Intel Core i7 4770K - £257.99
Corsair H100i - £90.80
Kingston HyperX Beast 16Gb (4x4Gb) DDR3 2400MHz - £164.34
2Gb nVidia GeForce GTX 760 - £ 193.80
Corsair HX Gold Series 750W Modular - £109.14
120Gb Samsung 840 EVO Series S-ATA3 - £81.90

I would go with green Avexir ram if you decide to go with Sniper 5, this is what mine looks like with my G1.Sniper 5

Everything looks good except the GPU. A 7970/280x are faster and shouldn't cost much more. Both overclock very well too.
