I have had my Hyundai 19" Widescreen for about a month now. Its backlight has been flickering at time but i havent cared enough to send it back for it so i jsut dealt with it. But about 10 minutes ago i was opening CS:S and it jsut totally turned off, not even the power light was on or anything but my music was still playing in the backround. So i checked all the cables and everything and its none of them so im guessing im going to have to rma it =[

yeah looks like it mate, sorry to hear about it but it looks like the easiest thing too do. probs the power supply has gone but you have to rma it...

Jesus you are plagued with monitors from a bad batch or something, that's some crap luck mate. RMA it and try again :(

unlucky mate:(

my reccomendation...

rma it,when you get it back...sell it and buy some ownage in a box e.g:samsung 205bw:p

cheers.

You can think what you want but my Hanns-G KICKS ASS. Anyway Hanngs-G is known for high end monitors so there 19" monitors are great. My monitor has the best pixel pitch and 5ms response time and it was only $190. Pats was $200 and it has a lower pixel pitch and only 8ms response time. I'd get the Hanns-G but thats my opinion.

Hanns-G is known for high end monitors, are you KIDDING ME?? lol. It's like the newest brand on the block and known for insanely cheap monitors. None of which equates to Hanns-G being known for high end monitors.

And I bet most of those specs are lies. Hanns-G, in my eyes, is a value-oriented brand. Acer (some), Dell, Samsung, they make good monitors.

HAHA shut down.. neways i would recommend NEC because i have a NEC MultiSync 1940CX and NEC has been around for years.. but i also agree with raging you could also get a samsung 205bw.. very good.

Yup, NEC and Samsung both make a very high quality set as well. I would put my seal of approval on either :)

How about Ilyana? I got my Ilyana 19" widescreen, which has the same specs as the Hans-G, for £50 more....

I do not get how they could make a high quality monitor, with same specs for £50 cheaper. You may like ur tft a lot Ty, and i can understand that, but could you really compare it to a top of the range 19" Dell or NEC monitor?

Yes you could. How do you think every good company started out? They started out small and then they had good products and earned the trust of customers like us. DELL started out as people saying "who's DELL?" Then they had good products and then people said they were good. Hanns-G is a new compnay and they are making quite nice monitors!

Hanns -G havent been around long enough.. no body knows how long they last. so what would u rather trust.. a company who has made very good monitors for 10 years or the cheaper monitor that has been around 2.

They are new and untrusted, so gotta keep prices low. Hans-g may grow to be an amazing brand, but I prefer a more developed + experienced company...

I will probably be staying with the same monitor, for convenience sake and because it really is a decent monitor. I won't go with the Hanns-G because Ty, no offence, you have no clue what you are talking about and nothing to compare it to. Now, I just have to wait until monday because freaking Hyundai apparently isn't open on the weekends at all.

In alot of manufacturer RMA cases, they will replace goods with ones that are reconditioned.

Often it`s best to get your money back if at all possible.
