With the help of tinytomlogan I was able to upgrade my crappy machine to something so much nicer

He advised me on the case and ran the competition for the 6950 which I won.

I will be changing the power suppply to a corsair ax650 and getting those individual braided cables

I will also be grabbing a corsair force 3 and some 5.25" bay adaptors so I can completely remove the harddrive from the floor.

current specs~~

Case: Silverstone tj08-e

Motherboard: Asus Maximus Gene-z/Gen3

CPU: Intel i5 2500k running at 4.56ghz >

CPU Cooler: Thermaltake frio

Graphics: HIS 6950 IceQ - Huge cooler edition lol

RAM: Corsair vengeance low profile 8GB 1600mhz

HDD: 1TB WD Caviar black

PSU: Gigabyte Odin 800GT

Silverstone make some awesome cases, the most innovative on the market atm. Personally I'd be tempted to stick the SSD behind the motherboard tray with some double sided sticky tape.

Looking good mate.

I have a 5.25">3.5">2.5" adaptor if you want it. I have no use for it.

Got it with my case. Is very similar to this http://www.scan.co.uk/products/akasa-ak-hda-01-ssd-and-hdd-adapter-fits-35-hdd-or-25-notebook-drive-into-525-pc-bay

An update Terrifictez85 was kind enough to provide me with a drive bay adaptor so that I could mount the 3.5 harddrive in the top.

Unfortunately for me Silverstone designed the front bay covers so that they would screw into the drive bays which makes them completely incompatible with anything being in there. I will have to do some modding to get them to fit so I don't have massive hole in the front of my case (no matter how handy it is for carrying

).

Again thanks to terrifictez I will be updating post again once I've successfully managed to get the front panel fitted
