Modded Lian Li pcv1000 + Extreme cooling!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I thank everyone who had inputs on cases and I ended up getting a Lian Li pcv1000b+2 and couldnt be happier.

I wanted the 2k but couldnt find one so I got the 1k then modded my freezone elite which gave me the room and looks sweet!

Heres the mods:

- Put a plexi window in panel

- Notched back of 5.5 case area to house wires

- mounted HD tray in upper cabinet under the 2 drives

- fan integrated in front (took 3 stacker 5.5 covers mesh and made a fan tray)

- took Coolit freezone ELITE apart and mounted pump and radiator in lower case

- Did a silverstone system temp/fan monitor and integrated into the complete system

- mounted a 110cfm 120mm rear fan blowing in and a 80mm 83cfm fan to top that will be complete tomorrow.

- Carbon fiber (vinyl) covering tray and divider.

Nice work mate, you totally love that coolit gear don't you!

How are the clocks and temps now? Idle/load.

I actually do, I was in for a Boreas but this is doing the job just fine so far. The temps are lower in this case and with the additional fans should be a little bit more. The control tech on High should drop them a little more as well.

Im at 13 degrees now at idle (3.4ghz) sitting in the shop, its only 77 in here now and the coolits on med. so yeah it works well.

The case is great, with the elite broken down to the lower quarters there is so much more room.

?: I have 2 UV lights in the top of the case and they are not on the same switch or power lead from psu but they cause the led in the fan to surge (nothing else). Now the ballast is just above the silverstone thats controlling the led fan, is it feeding a dirty signal in its general vacinity?
