Hey guys! (posted on another forum aswell)

I have problem with this new Bios update
Z97-DELUXE BIOS 1304

since I updated to it I can't get it to downlock in voltage when its idle (800mhz+)

its stuck on the same voltage that I put in (1.260)
these are the settings I have tried

C-states on Auto and enabled
Epu settings on enabled
Balanced on power settings in windows with Minimum processor state 5%
I have checked so the switches on my motherboard is on default (not oc mode) and epu switch is on.
I feel like I have checked everything that has something to do with powersaving in BIOS

it all worked fine with these settings on when I used the older Bios before the new one (1203)
anyone have an idea what the problem is that is making my cpu stay on the same voltage all the time?
should I go back to BIOS 1203 maybe ?

had it stable 4.6ghz @ 1.260v on all cores at 1203 bios

anyway thats my problem Im having. been working on it for hours.

Have you tried reflashing the bios again?

If that provides unsatifactory results, then drop back to 1203 bios firmware and see if that solves the problem.

I reckon this is a bug in the bios software where "enabled" and "disabled" are basically the wrong way round for one/some/all of the power saving features. Unless there are other new features in the latest bios software that you need, I'd go back to the previous version. Or you could just try setting certain values as "disabled" and see if it actually enables them :)
