Hey all,
I just wanted to make a little thread to show of my PC which is the first PC ive ever built. I built it on Christmas day 2 years ago.

When i first finished this is what it looked like...

Specs:
Case : Coolermaster HAF 922
Motherboard : Asus M5A97 Pro
CPU : AMD FX-4100 Quad Core 3.6Ghz
RAM : G.Skills Ripjaws 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Optical Drive : Sony LIghtscribe Drive
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rpm 6GB/s
PSU: Powerecool 650W Modular
Graphics Sapphire HD 6770 1GB GDDR5

Now since building the pc i have upgraded a little...
I added another 8GB of the G.skills ram to double what i had. Added another HDD a 2TB 7200rpm seagate 6GB/s and changed the cpu cooler for an H80i and ive also added and replaced some fans. So here it is now....

So now my plans for the future are...

I am going to soon buy AX760i PSU followed by an AMD FX8350 CPU then a Corsair Force LS 240GB Solid State Drive and when they are released an R9 290 with aftermarket cooler.

Any suggestions improvements/advice is welcomed.

Thanks alot.

If you get yourself a FX-8350 and R9 290, you'll have a great gaming rig on your hands then.

Also, those Corsair PSUs the likes of the AX760i are great, you get huge 7 year warranty on them, plus other perks like a single 12v rail.

You could probably do more for cable management, but if it's not impacting airflow then who cares? :p

The cables aren't to bad. It's only that one for the GPU power. All others are behind the backplate. Why would you change the case??

I would go with the r9 290 3rd party cooler as well but i would change the PSU to an AX760, you won't need the "i" variant.

He mentioned swapping the case because it is outdated and ugly(to me at least). If you like it then keep it but i would try to upgrade it to something like a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2; solid case and rather cheap for what it offers.

Ahhh okay. Thanks for feedback. I've toyed with idea of getting 760 or 760i I just thought it would be better because I have the corsair link already with my 80i?

True but in all honestly it is not worth the extra money. The money saved could go towards a bigger ssd or even a 3rd party cooler 290x if you want balls out performance:p

Well here in the US it can be about $40-$60 more depending on where you look. Just shows how much different our computer tech prices are. If it was me i would still go with the 760(which i did) over a 760i because you don't have the whole corsair link hub.

Yes same here but I thought it would be cool just have. I'm going to order it now. So the AX760 it is?

Edit: also NeverbackDown that case you mentioned ealier just looks dead plane and boring :(

If you want the AX760 then yes, if you want the i version then go for it.

Arc Midi R2 plane and boring? You are the first person i have ever heard of to say that. Its more of a stealth look and the functionality of the case is superb.

Heres a video on it done by tom. It is the R2 not V2. Tom just refers to it as Version 2.

Fractal Design cases are just well built slabs. Honestly don't see what the fuss is about the design of them. They're just well built and well priced. Exciting isn't a word I'd use to describe them personally.

Go with what you like, if you find the design boring then don't get it although bare in mind they are really well built and reasonably priced, not to mention -very- quiet.
