My First budget build

Hi guys I want to do my first budget build and here is what I came up with
CPU: Intel i3 2120
HDD: 1TB Seagate 7200rpm 6GB/s
RAM: Corsair 8GB (2x4Gb)
PSU: Corsair 650W Enthusiast Series
GPU: 2Gb Palit GTX650
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
Optical Drive: Samsung WriteMaster
Case: Corsair Carbride series 300R

Altogether this costs £484. I was wondering if all the components will work together and if you guys had any suggestions that would improve this build and also make it cheaper. Plus if you can find a better case for a cheaper price that would help a lot. Thanks in advance.

What will the rig be used for? How much can you spend?

Now to your questions: Yes, alle your parts are compatible, there are some changes I'd make though.

CPU: 2100, unless the price difference is very small
HDD: Is ok, depends on how much space you need
RAM: 4gb would be enough for such a build, won't be much cheaper
PSU: 500w is more than enough for this rig
MB: just get a cheap one that offers all the features your need (asus, msi or gigabyte)
ODD: don't get one unless you really need it
Case: Fractal Design Core 3000 or bitfenix shinobi are also good cases

Biggest change is a noticeably better GPU.
Gives you plenty to get a case with too.

Thanks for the replies guys but I just noticed something the GPU I chose is a PCIe 3.0, but the motherboard only has a PCIe 2.0 slot. Do you think this will still work?
