wow and it's a bit cheaper. thanks! is it just the controller that's better?

Hmm now you mention that i remember a disscusion about this,
that it was indeed just the controller used in the SSD's..

so i think you are correct about this...

hi, i just found an interesting forum post with regards to this issue. if you look at post 7, the vertex 4 looks a lot better than the m4... would this be one of those times where benchmark don't reflect the real performance?

sorry forgot link -link removed-

Thank mate,
personally i would still go for the Crucial one ,

but that's because i had some bad experience with OCZ ,
and overall i think people would go for the Crucial one...

never heard about a Crucial one dying,
yet i do hear that about the OCZ series...

Good luck buddy ,.Ray...

now i don't know... should i just go for the cheaper one and invest the saved money in an msi g45 instead of g43?

one 660 ti but i don't want to close all my doors yet :), that's why i was thinking of g45. i also heard the heatsinks are better

A tad bit better, yes. Ironically I built a system with the G45 last night :P It's a decent board and the heat sink is a little better.

so it's worth dropping down to the m4 for the replacement of the board to g45?

I wouldn't buy the cosmos 2 if you're not going to fully watercool it. Get a cheaper case like the CM Storm Stryker or the Corsair 650d and get a better motherboard like the MSI z77a-gd55.

well i'm trying to future-proof the case so i never feel the urge to upgrade it in the future, should i decide to put some insane water configuration in it
