my £700ish spec

Only real pointers there would be ditch the wannabe watercooling for a good air sink.

Personally I'd put that little extra in and get an alu case (eg the PC-8), but that's just my opinion.

H50 has to be run with the rear fan pushing air into the case for it to work properly, so Im with Ham, just get a proper air heatsink.

Im not a fan of the 300 either, deffo better off with a lian li or even a cheap cooler master.

MrsVB brought one of Thesehttp://www.scan.co.uk/Products/CM-Storm-Scout-Mid-Tower-Black-Case-w-o-PSU-(Gaming) for her Bday and I can't rate it highly enough in terms of bang per buck. Great airflow, nearly silent, loads of cable management room, bombproof.

As for the cooler, although you're trying to keep under budget and so will go for a cheaper cooler to offset the case, you can't scrimp on something like that. The Cooler Master 212 is highly rated in the bargain sector, but I'm not sure if it's 1156 compatible. Obviously you have the TRUE, Noctua, Megahalems etc. But you can't ever cheapen out on a cooler.

you think i could get a cheaper, or less powerful psu like a 400-500w?

the coolermaster storm scout looks like a nicely priced case

im struggling to find a decent cpu cooler tho as there arent that many compatible with the 1156. what do you think about these;

btw, is the stock cooler on the retail version any good?

Doesn't appear to be a good time to assemble a mid-range pc from new components.

£740 for the expectation is alot in my books in comparison to a mid range 775 build.

Where they have u tho is that new stuff is the route to take. U would think.

Imo. £740, my first big item will be the top single gpu card. The rest is neither here nor there. That is if ur buying it for gaming.

Edit ** Not V helpful. lol

Would Def go for a Decent PSU, atleast 600w, Incase you want to CF or whatever... Also, if your buying a Radeon, make sure your boards CF compatible...

If you have a shop round on here you can build a nice CPU loop for around £150... Forget about the Budget job...

Also, might be worth looking for a 2nd Hand Lian-li or something on here, warranty doesnt matter too much on a case and you will pay the same as a poo new case! :)
