My 650w Antec TruePower Trio blew up after only 1 night!

Yeah, what a piece of utter garbage. I have known Antec to make better power supplies than that in the past. I was talking to Nick about it and apparently the Trio's are made by Seasonic (ewwwwww!). Why would Antec put their name on the line with crappy arse Seasonics??? Anyhow, I took it back in and exchanged it for a BFG 650w supply which refreshingly is a Topower (OCZ, Tagan, etc) supply and know it will be much more trustworthy.

No more Antec for me. In fact I have such a bad taste in my mouth now that I'm going to stop recommending them as good mid-range cheapish PSU's.

You wont be disappointed with a Zippy. I've tested a coupe and they are rock solid.

Specialtech do have the 850w version but I cant see it listed on their site. I'd drop em an email or post in the Specialtech part of the OC3D forums and ask.

Frag Seasonic actually make some decent PSU's. Just looks like this one wasn't one of them. Unlucky mate - guess it's under warranty?

Yup exchanged for a BFG supply which is mucho better. Decent and Seasonic don't belong in the same sentence

Tier1 brands looks fine, but there are some brands in Tier2/3 that I wouldnt touch with a bargepole.

Agreed. From what FragTek said, the BFG seems to be a good o'le Topower.
