Mushkin redline xp4000

I'm not sure but I think Daz has some of this. I think its about the same as the OCZ. Anandtech rated it highly.

Mixed reviews on this stuff me old pal.

I saw it on a forum thread somewhere that someone had gotten 272Mhz out of it at 2-2-2-10 but the average seems to be somewhere between 260 and 268.

Is it better than VX? Dunno.

Is it better than old skool BH5? Dunno

At the end of the day you find nuggets in every batch of ram that will do really well.

Thats why many people are buying new BH5 in large quantities (6 or 8 sticks), burning in each stick individually, keeping the best two and selling whats left

Place your orders and gamble away my friend ;)

Out of all the components to buy when building a new pc - I find memory always the most annoying and hard to decide on, partly because in the end its all down to a bit of luck :p

I agree with Nick on this one.

It becomes extremely frustrating when purchasing ram and a bit of a lottery to be honest - the difference in overclock between two sticks purchased at the same time can be massive.

I would be happy to pay an extra £50 for some 'golden samples' that had been tested to run at specific speeds above standard specification.

What all us DFI NF4 users really want is BH5 golden samples (perhaps call them DFI Special Edition?) that do 275Mhz @ 2-2-2-6 at 3.6v GUARANTEED AND TESTED - It's focused group I agree, but then again if it came out, most DFI owners would buy it.

Of course when they come out, we'll want the same again in 300mhz versions :p
