Multiple Modems?

Was wondering, is it possible to run multiple dsl modems on 1 phone line? Cause I bought another modem back when I was being sneaky. I would love to be able to (if my dad can find where he hid it  ) so that I could run a wire.

No I don't think that'll work mate. AFAIK you would only be able to have one modem turned on at any time.

Ya, I knew that (from my sneaky times, heh). Just wondering if there was a work-around or not (if this is inappropriate, go ahead and lock/delete)

there isnt a workaround, also i think on adsl lines, if BT detect 2 modems trying to sync, they block your broadband for 24 hours as a precaution. Not sure if they still do this or not.

Is all DSL PPPoE? If so that could create a problem... On cable internet you are recognized by your MAC and no login information is required which makes it really easy with some modded firmware to bring as many modems as you would like online all at the same time on one cable.

Not all is PPPoE here, there is PPPoA. think the mainstream one is PPPoA. But dont quote me on that.
