A AydST New member Aug 24, 2007 #1 we have a virus on one of our machines that came via MSN, apparently this is doing the rounds. Problem is it's now not giving us enough time to log on to that machine and find the file names before it's logging us off anyone got file names or ideas?? ta

Mr. Smith New member Aug 24, 2007 #6 You need to get into safe mode and run your antvirus from there... Try read this, I've used it in the past to good effect, however the guide seems dependant on oyu being able to use windows. Linky Does the pc contain valuable info? Worst case; format the hd.

P Pseudonym New member Aug 26, 2007 #7 Could you hook it up as an external/slave on a different PC and scan the infected drive from that one. Suppose it might infect the new PC though. Probably wouldn't if nothing on it is running. Connect it, then run a boot time scan on all disks?
