Great news that intel are not gonna do us out of our hard earned dosh with another chipset. Especially since Z270 was perfectly capable of running coffee lake 6 core.

New generation CPU. They should be fined for crap like that. That's about as new generation as one of my turds. It's exactly the same we had before, with two more cores "glued on"

A range of Asus Z370 boards also got this same update, I think at this point in time if Intel locked Z370 users out of the 8 core CPU especially with AMD's awesome performance on their multi gen socket, They would lose even more business as I know many people that would see it as extremely anti consumer, Especially considering there is no difference between the upcoming Z390 and the current Z370 minus more USB ports on the former.

I am not buying another Intel CPU until they start soldering again. Very happy with my AMD Ryzen right now.

I'm a little speechless!
If no new chipset for next gen and there is no catch to using these I won't know what to say. Other than fair play Intel for doing it right this time
