MSI X370 XPOWER Gaming Titanium Preview

Crazy as ever Tom. :D Other reviewers are just not cutting it. They have kinda boring videos. I love your camera. It is making your life so difficult. :D

Looking forward for a full review. I really like how this board looks. It is really unique. I hope MSI does proper job this time.

Price and dragon. The only two things I do not like about this board.

I don't mind the dragon.

What I do mind is price vs features.. it's nearly identical with everything like the Carbon Pro. And imo that board looks better, but I don't mind the look of this one.

That worries me to. It is even more expensive than CH6, and yet it has less features. And MSI doesn't have that good reputation to justify the high price. Apart from the unique look I don't see their idea for the high price.

We should w8 for the reviews to come out to have more clear picture.

I really like this MB but considering price and my view on MSI since what they did with the Bios, I'd just go with the CH6

On a board this price there shouldn't be any stupid dragons. Just my opinion of course. I mean, I don't think Asus had much trouble selling Rampage and Rampage Black boards.

But when you add something even slightly tacky to a board costing this much you bring it down.

Not looked into the features yet but my days of spending £350 on a motherboard are well and truly over. I'm quite glad that the 350 boards are the best looking, as that may be where I get mine from :)

MSI: would not buy, especially at the price. That's a retarded price to pay for a pretty board from a manufacturer that can't hold a candle to the big boys in quality or QA.

TBH I would possibly go back to MSI again for an AM4 board but not because of them. Only because AM4 socket is here for three years which covers the warranty term on some of their boards.

After having a MSI BBXPII X79 die 11 months in only to be told they don't make X79 boards any more so can't really offer me anything I was pretty bloody put off tbh. At least with AM4 they can just give you their latest boards, of which there will probably be many in the three years minimum that AMD have penned out for the socket.

I'm rarely a fanboy at all for anything, but the one exception for me is Asus. They just do it consistently better than most anyone. But I am open to Gigabyte and EVGA. It just seems that Asus boards simply work, and if they do have issues, they're generally minor issues. With AM4 EVERY board maker seems to have teething issues, but that's to be expected. But MSI hasn't hit enough motherboard homeruns for me to give them a shot. :)

Yeah I think most of the BIOS issues people are having are not down to the boards but the CPU itself. There are issues AMD are aware of and have said will be fixed. The memory issues are most probably board related though as Gigabyte seem to have a pretty good bios out there. Still not surpassing 2667mhz though really.

At present I have three boards running. My Alienware MSI X99, a Giga X79 UD3 Rev 1.1 (with the proper phases) and an old Asus. The best board I have ever had was my CHVFZ by Asus, and the M5A97. I just love how they lay out their bioses, pure class.

If I do decide to upgrade my Phenom X6 Ubuntu rig to Ryzen I will probably look at the MSI 350 arctic (the ATX one). I'm not too bothered about overclocking any more and it's the best looking board out there. I even prefer it to the CH6 !

All the boards Ive had are doing 3200 now. The delays are AMD yes but its still bios. In their wisdom they have fixed it so only they can do the memory QVL
