Curious that these older generation cards are coming out with custom cooling (that often puts the price of the card in a stoopid bracket where u could be better off buying the newer generation). Red pcb too.
Now if they were serious about the card, which looks awful imo - don't like these ones that look like they're ripped the black shroud off and tacked on a mf-fan - it could be a great low profile card and retain all it's outputs.
That'd also put it into the market of people with purchased pcs, some Dell's etc, that can only take low profile cards - making it one of the best options they can use. htpc people would use them more and so on.
Strange release imo. Would hope it's £70 or so - but can tell by the hype and customization it may be £100, even more.

I'm not sure whether even computer equipment manufacturers are being put under pressure to release a quota of energy efficient hardware or not but a lot of brands are taking this route at least for a small segment of their overall audience.
Regardless, I'm impressed to see that they've done away with the 6pin PCI-E lead, running the graphics card solely on the 75W from the PCI-E slot.

Do u know what, on that saving of additional power connectors, it sounds a great idea and they do claim no loss of performance - but does that mean "at the stock level it's supplied at vS the same clock levels on the original cards".
Reflecting on that, it would be ballsy for MSI to provide OC3D to provide a sample so they can push it against an older model. Personally I don't fancy it's chances.
