MSI teases their future Z270 motherboards

Finally MSI showing they do have good taste.

Monotone scheme - check
Less flashy branding - check
No dragon - Check

If I was upgrading to Z270 As far as whats on the market right now/coming soon. This would be my choice. I'm curious what this Twin Turbo M.2 is all about though.

What do you need a steel reinforced motherboard for? I'm not going to take my PC rallying.
Looks good though, except for the southbridge heatsink on the SLI Plus, not sure about that one.

Now finally they made a sexy ass looking motherboard and dropped the whole black and red theme. Nice one going! :)

And SLI Plus?
The ability to run 4 cards in x16. It's a bit of a mess to be fair.. I hope Tom can clear things up in his review as every review I've read so far contradicts the other... it's all about PCI lane discipline and using the right processor with the right amount of lanes to accommodate the hardware. It's a bit of a head mash if I'm honest.

Nope for me MSI still can't even get a black board done correctly and i bet MSI will find a way to make this look Tacky some how some way bye put god awful LED's on it.

For me the EVGA is still the better looking motherboard on the market one of the other companies need to impress me a lot more than that to get me to change from the EVGA motherboard when i upgrade next year..

MSI try harder next time ^_^

haha I think maybe they might have learned their lesson on that.

I bet they haven't learn a damn thing, Just wait and see i bet they will screw it up some how some way

No you're probably completely right. Thinking about it if you look around the obviously more expensive board everything is hyped up DDR4 boost, SLi PLUS and so on.

I'm sure SLi Plus was a branding thing like 10 years ago or something, Also i think your forgetting about one too....tacky LED's too :p

They will find a way to put that tacky dragon on there you know the MSI fan boys/girls are pushing for them to do it.

Maybe more young people are PC gaming now? /scratches head.. I really don't know. I thought the PC gaming crowd were usually older.

Maybe they are trying to draw more kids into PC gaming? thing is if I went to my mother when I was a kid and asked for £400 for a motherboard with Godlike on she would have twatted me with a frying pan.

What's hilarious is that MSI seem to get their sales techniques from the most crap of things. I don't know if you remember the episode of South Park from waaay back in the beginning but Cartman is watching Ad TV and he sees this dude selling swords (typical con in the USA, sell over priced swords etc) any way, this dude selling it continually shouts "IT'S GOT A DRAGON ON THE BLADE. IT'S GOT A DRAGON.ON.THE.BLADE"

And Cartman yells to his mother "But mooom it's got a Dragon on the bladeeee"
