The MSI Suprim X is their flagship model, and pairing it up with the hugely powerful RTX 4090 should break some records. Let's find out.

MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X Review

So this performs on par with the FE, roughly, losing in a lot of instances(unless the labels on some of the graphs are wrong?), draws more power and runs at a higher temperature and costs at least £200 more than the FE. was it at least quieter?

Now you see why EVGA has pulled out of Nvidia cards

Yeah, it seems that gone are the days where it actually makes sense to buy an AIB partner card. They're more expensive and are not much better in cooling.

The issue for many of us not living in the UK/US is actually managing to get our hands on an FE card. I would have to import it direct from Nvidia and then pay 36% tax on it :(

Yeah, countries like Norway are very expensive when it comes to tax. Ireland has high tax and import duties as well, but some UK shops (Amazon for example) have deals where I can still buy items from the UK and only pay Irish tax, not UK tax AND Irish tax, which is what has happened with other places post-Brexit. Many of the shops I used to use from the UK I don't shop with any more. It's not right paying both UK and Irish tax.

If you have friends over in those areas, you could give them the money to pay for it, then ship it to you? Will take longer but probably save you money.

I have done that before e.g. valve index. but our Toll gate teams are catching on to technology so when certain items come through (they open every package to check) if they see something they will hold it and query it till the know what to tax you.

Its a hard fight sometimes to convince them that certain items are actually gifts.
That said, not sure if I fully trust my friends with a $2000 item. I like them, but not that much!!! :D

Alot of companies now, e.g. Bitspower or Amazon are EU registered which means when you go to the checkout, based on your location the tax gets auto applied. That way, what you see is what you pay and there is no hidden charges from UPS, DHL etc. The sad part however is that Nvidia are not registered which means if I buy from them, i get hit with the tax.

If I can get it via Amazon, its a different story. I might have a chance. The good thing luckily is im happy with a 3090ti suprim X. What amazes me is the comment above, FE equivalent performance for $200 more. Thats just horrible!
