MSI reveals 4 custom GTX 1070 GPUs

Oh god IMO the MSI cards look ugly, I don't care what other people say it's my point of view and you're not going to change it.

I dunno I quite like the look of the Aero, the all Black reference blower design with a subtle White fleck would fit my build quite tidy.

I'm planning on water cooling 1070 so ugliness is not a problem for me :-) as long as the layout is same as on the FE. Am I correct in assuming that is the case with Aero version?

I don't think you want the FE layout for watercooling, at least if you want to push it. Stock power design is quite limiting.
I'd be interested in the seahawk, having an AIO on the GPU seems neat, however i see no way of implementing this in my rig to make this look decent.
I assume the LEDs will be on the backside? Why does everything have to be covered in LEDs all the time, i don't want my rig to look like a tuned Supra straight out of Need for Speed.

don't worry I'm not stopping your freedom of expression, just helping you incase you don't mean to come off as daft :)

I'm planning on custom loop. Is there any point in not buying the cheapest 1070 out there( as long as its not a MickeyMouse brand) since I'm gonna put a custom water block on it? It will be my first one ever, so if any of you know better, I'm all ears

If you just want to watercool it for low temps and noise levels, sure, nothing wrong with getting a cheap 1070 with a reference design PCB, but i assume the 1070 will be limited in its overclocking abilities by only having one 8pin. If i were you i wouldn't buy a 1070 on release, i'd wait a month or two for manufacturers to put out non reference PCB cards and fitting waterblocks.

I'm not buying for another 3 or 4 months. Am I incorrect in thinking that my overclock will be limited by 112% tdp on 1070 rather than lack of extra 6 - pin connector? A specially when 1080 FE rides on single 8 pin and over clocks to 1950 - 2100. If I got this right, 1070 requires less power, so there should be quite a bit to spare without more connectors. ? maybe? Don't know? What's your opinion?
