MSI releases their Optix AG32C 32" 165Hz FreeSync gaming monitor

1080P is too low resolution for a 32" screen and to make matters worse, it's curved ! Monitor manufactures need to kill off curved monitors just like they did with 3D.

Curve is a preference, some people really enjoy it. 32inch and 1080p.. Msi go home and make it better.

24" and below is good for 1080P, Up to 27" 1440P and anything bigger than 27" needs to be 4K, 32" and 1080P subjectively doesn't mix.

Yeah even tho I'm usually one trash talking super high resolutions on computer monitors, 1080 is at ok at a 27" screen at best. I'm running 1080 now on my beloved BenQ 27and while it's fine, there are times I can see some jaggies. I couldn't imagine the jagged edges on a 32" screen.

I get that the lower resolution would be better for higher frame rates to take advantage of that 165Hz refresh rate but the guy that's looking to buy a monitor of this tier isn't looking to push it on a $200 GPU.

If you used it as a gaming TV sort of deal and sat a ways back this wouldn't be bad at all. The price is also reasonable. I would certainly not sit at it as my daily though. Would make a great secondary "Couch position" gaming screen though.

I used to think the exact same about 1440p at anything higher than 27, but as someone who has recently bought a 32 inch 1440p monitor, it doesn't look noticeably softer than my 27 inch. Although I'm still waiting for a 32 inch, 3k/4k monitor at 90hz with freesync of course.

All depends what you're using it for and how far away you are. Three of these on a racing or flight sim rig would be awesome.

Or if you wall mount it and have a decently deep desk then it would scale pretty well. Any higher resolution and you'd lose the 165hz refresh. I think it's good that companies offer us different models to suit our own preferences. It's also no that badly priced compared to Samsung panels of the same spec. A little more than the Viewsonic or AOC though.

Yeah they look a little fuzzier than a 4k or 1440 panel at the same distance but it's all about the smooth refresh rates.
