MSI Releases N285GTX SuperPipe

Sounds like a whole lot of promotional crap to me. Bit like the 'hybrid silent' 9600gt recently reviewed.

Would like to see one reviewed though. Looking at it without listening to the crap around it the cooler looks like it has some potential.

Looks aren't everything ofc, I mean once it's in the case after u've taken loads of pics, u'll worry more about performance - BUT - for what it's worth I think it's pretty ugly.

Heck it could be pink afaic, if it's massive on performance and the cooling works as they boast I don't think I'd care.

Costing ofc will be very stupid.

I dont know from a strict Physics point of view a 8mm pipe would improve cooling somewhat... but depends on their method of implementation and overall designed but it is pretty ugly...

The MSI SuperPipe is a high-performance graphics card's best companion that perfectly eliminates high-end GPUs' overheat issues.

Is it just me or is there something inherently wrong with your rig if your GPU is overheating, rather than having just traditional (or no) heatpipes =P

So apart from the fact that they really haven't worked on the aesthetics, there marketing speak is actually quite amusing/worrying =)

I just like that they make out they've come up with some new cooling technology...

MSI Guy: "Ok so what's better than 6mm heatpipes??"

2nd MSI Guy: "I've bloody got it!!! 8mm heatpipes! We can call them SuperPipes as they are bigger!"
