MSI Project Zero Deep Dive - Are back-facing cables a good idea?

its a massively genius move if your case allows it.

Take the Lian Li O11 EVO. Once you water cool it and put a radiator in the bottom. Its nigh on impossible to reach the usb sockets at the low end of the board without ripping out the radiator first.

Plus reaching all the PSU cables like the 24pin ATX can be difficult as you navigate your hand inbetween hard line tubs. This is something I have wanted for years, but it will be unusable for some Chassis.

I had a look at the video on this and all I could think was "But I can still see that nasty honking GPU cable".

Then perhaps pair it with this GPU...

You would have to really. I mean what is the point in hiding the cables just to have a horrible GPU cable trawling across the front and most focal point of the rig?

I have not seen ONE implementation of that nasty fookin connector Nvidia concocted yet. Other wiring? yeah, you can make that look very pretty.

But that ^ is a good start. Shame the rest of it is honking and looks like an ambulance in the USA. It's a shed load better than an even more proprietary board and GPU that's for sure !
