MSI P35 Neo2-FR and E2180 Overclocking

Has anyone had any luck with an OC with the above components.

I managed 266 FSB with x10 Multi but after a while got a blue screen. Not sure if that was the temps or something else.

Volts I'd say. If you're BSODing, up the CPU volts a bit. You're priming it right?

Ok, well I haven't tested it with Prime which is wise I'm guessing.

Also it would not post at 233 FSB x10. Probably a obvious reason for this.

Any ideas?

What volts are you putting through the CPU, NB and RAM?

Try to get your RAM to stay near enough to stock. Do this by changing the FSB: DRAM config.

yeah them volts are on the edge of insanity im sure you dont need that much too make it stable

Had a go last night, got it up to 2800 with 280 FSB (x10), 1.425v.

Passed Intel Burn 15 times.

Upped the volts on the ram a tad and changed timings to 5-5-5-15.

Ratio 1:1.

Works fine now.

Impressive you've managed to get it to 3600, does it pass Intel Burn Test?

im guessing he's running the cpu 24/7@ 3.6 so yeah it should pass it,

That's a high voltage for that clock!! It should do 3GHz on near to stock volts

i did 3.2ghz at 1.4v which is what its running at right now, only wanted to see how high can i get it as i approched the 70c mark it was 8 hour stable with orthorus.

btw that was true air cooling, now on water wonder what temps i get.... might try pushing a bit more tomorrow lol
