MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk overclocking problems

Hi guys!

I have the MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Hawk but I just can't overclock it. Also the temperatures and the resulting noise are not good (even the ones I got when I had the old MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II were better). Also every power phase is always activated (every LED on the PCB is on). I updated to the newest nVidia driver and downloaded the latest MSI Afterburner version. Everything is recognized correctly but when I change anything at Afterburner the graphics card crashes. Even if I don't change the clock speed and just raise the voltage a little bit it crashes.

I really don't know what's wrong with the graphics card. When I don't touch the settings (in Afterburner) I got great framerates and no crashes. But the noise, the temperatures, the power phase thing and the overclocking crash problem seems like the graphics card is broken. Do you have a different idea what could produce these problems?

I will try this. But do you really think that it's a software problem? Looks more like a hardware defect to me.

the fan profile in AB for the 560ti's sux bro change that first set it to 40% at 40c and raise it to 100% by 80c at 60c you want to be at or around 50-60% fan speed at least you want it close to the image as possible I found this gives good noise to temp ratio. Also if temps are bad try re timming the cooler

Thanks for the answers. So I will reinstall the drivers (and Afterburner) and then I will change/optimize the fan profile.

Maybe overclocking works then...
