As the title says; trying to figure out wich is the most affordable. if you do got other suggestions I'd be really happy to hear!:lol:

  • Intel Core i7 3770K 3,5Ghz (CPU)

  • SSD 120GB Intel 520 (SSD)
  • Corsair Hydro H100i (CPU Cooling)
  • Noctua NF-P12 PWM, 120mm (x2) (New fans for H100i)

9815 SEK = 1'470 USD/ 909 Pound

PS. I'm not going for some exreme-build here, just a decent comp that will last for a while and does not cost nore than 13'000SEK (1'948 USD / 1'204 Pound)

GTX660 Ti would be my choice. They trade blows in benchmarks so theyre basically a draw but Im all about Nvidia drivers. My next video card will be Nvidia for this very reason. So for equal frame rates but better drivers, Ill take the Ti.

Here is a comparison on Anandtech's bench between a GTX660 Ti and a 7950. The 7950 is faster in Crysis by a good bit and the 660 is faster in BF3 by a good bit and theyre essentially even in the rest. The Nvidia drivers will be a little better and some reviewers are starting to talk about "smoother" game play with the Nvidia cards so for whatever thats worth. I am growing tired of AMD drivers though after several years of them and will more than likely be moving over to Nvidia for my next card because of them.
 
Either one mate should do the trick, I personally love my 7950. It overclocks like crazy and is more than enough to power my 30" monitor.
You get a good game bundle at the moment with AMD if that helps...
 
In 1920x1080 the 660ti perform better than the 7950. But in higher resolution gaming the 7950 give a better frame rate..
And 660ti has physx, the 7950 doesn't.
I've built 3 systems with the 660ti, and one with the 7950.
However AMD cards are easyer to overclock (non reference card)
If you can get your hands on the first version of the 660ti power edition. You can get extreme performance. Better than the 670 reference.
But they are extreamy hard to find because NVIDIA has green light... And the old version of the power edition didn't get the green light from NVIDIA, so the new power edition isn't much better than other 660ti cards...

I think Im gonna go with the 660 since it's cheaper and seems to fit my needs better. I mean, they are very similar and as I said not going for an Extreme, just decent and the 660 seems to be the most affordable one :)

+1 for the 660Ti, I have one and it runs everything I throw at it very well. As said above the Nvidia drivers are awesome, got some reasonable FPS upgrades with the current 310.7 beta drivers.

I would pick the 660ti up, its good value for money, you also get physics, cuda and all that fancy nvidia technologies :D
