MSI Announces the X99A GAMING Pro Carbon Motherboard

Okay then... Since it looks like you can have any 2 colours you want and not just the standard black/red, I'm digging it.

I know there are customers who hate RGB or prefer not to have it but you have to see it from the other side. There are many people who may love a particular motherboard but because its a certain colour they just don't buy it regardless how much they like the spec/performance/price on offer. So these newer boards come in a more neutral all-black aesthetic to stop this from happening and keep those people happy.. and the RGBs for those who want a particular theme for their new PC.

It makes more sense from a manufacturer perspective instead of having different colours of the same board available or supplying decals in the box. RGB's are the solution.

There's got to be a market for it no doubt. I really like that they've gone down the external header control for case lighting. I could never get my afterburner app to work properly (was a few years ago now) so hopefully the app or software control is solid.

I really like the look of this - not the rainbow on the top of the post but the other pics I've seen. I'd go a nice subtle white or blue led.

Aye that pictures is a "rainbow" effect. We have another 16 effects to choose from... or just static colours.

We include an extension cable for external case lighting too in the box. I know I've had issues using the HUE+ when doing cable management and the cables not reaching where I'd like. The extension should solve that and make it easier in bigger cases.
