Edit - so basically they're run off a separate chipset? I'll have to make sure I'm wearing my VR optimized kicks. I'd hate to ruin the immersion by playing in thongs. (Flipflops for non Australians)

I hate to disagree with everyone but it actually seems pretty useful to me. The Rift+Cameras use a crapload of USB3 ports, and there are only specific compatible host controllers etc (Fresco Logic FL1100EX recommended).

about using multiple cameras for roomscale VR and how important balancing multiple USB host controllers is. Having more of these built into the mobo rather than shelling out for a PCI-e expansion card would be great, as it's been something a lot of manufacturers have been able to get away with skimping on.
