MSI 6950 or 580?

Hi guys, I'm building my custom PC next weekend, and I need to order the graphics card...

I was originally thinking of the MSI Twin-Frozr III 6950

But when I saw this deal on another posts, I had to think some more (its a MSI N570 GTX btw):

Which one should I choose? No real direct comparisons are on the internet, and how will the cards stand up against new games 12 months down the line?

Thanks

If you don't mind paying the extra £30, the 570 is the much better card, even better than the 6970 in most scenarios.

It should stand the test of time better as well.

It will be slightly louder than the Twin Frozr III I imagine, but it will push the vast majority of heat out your case unlike the Twin Frozr III, keeping other components cooler in the process.

That's my personal preference, so I'd wait for other opinions as well to make a balanced decision

Are you interested in an eyefinity setup? You can run 3 monitors off the 6950, but only 2 natively with the 570.

btw your title says 580 but your link is to a 570.

Will the fact that the 570 (which is what I meant by the way) has only 1200MB dedicated memory compared to the 2GB of the 6950 make any difference?

Thanks for the help, especially to you SieB
