MSI 660ti OC and Fan controller questions

Fan has a high pitched noise to it. Ive gone through 2 models (it sounds like a locust) the second is alot quieter than the first (had to RMA) no reviews mention this. Anyone else have this issue?

2. I have a storm trooper case (TTL talked me into it) and I love it.... except the fan controller buzzes or flashes when i plug in my non stock fans. Would a fan controller allow me to control speed of the fans without that annoying buzz?

LASTLY

I have a Havik 140 and an asus mobo, when i plug it in to the CPU fan header, it stays on max and I cant control it (yes, i know its a non pwm fan) but I can control it through a chasis fan port... why!?

Twin Frozr yes? they do start to scream when the fans go over 60%. Unless the sound you are describing is a fault but yeah, they do tend to make a whining noise when pushed hard.

I know they have a turbine fan noise which is a tad higher pitched. Im talking about an undertone high pitched frequency that increases with fan speed but is not average. My case has 12 fans in it, i know what a fan sounds like. This sounds like a locust and it drives me nuts. You can hear it at idle.

Hmm doesn't sound right then. You sure it's not VRM noise?

Yeah, Ive deconstructed my rig, all fans off... its from the GPU fan.
