Mouse/Keyboard Stand

Hey all,

Okay now I'm getting stuck on a surface for gaming on, some of you may know already I've got a sort of glass hi-fi stand beneath my 47" TV on the wall which I'm keeping. There really isn't much room for another desk/stand in my room for a mouse/keyboard.

Monitor isn't a problem as I do want to do the gaming on the TV so really I just need somewhere for my mouse and keyboard to sit, giving enough room to move the mouse round. Has anyone seen or got themselves any good mouse/keyboard stands?

Pretty good idea, but I won't be sat on a couch, I'll still be using an office chair.

Struggling to find something with enough mouse space.

It sounds like what you need is, in-fact a desk

LOL, that would be best yeah but I don't want a full on desk anymore. It looks right with what's there now.

They look good you've given links for, I'm gonna check the measurements and see what would work best out of them. :)

Lol I got confused reading it back.

So what I mean is there isn't enough room to add a full computer/office desk. Does anybody know of any smaller options, I've seen that you can get small stands for laptops which is a good idea, but I'd need a bigger stand because I need mouse space.

The options that Feronix pointed out seem good options.

Not really a proper desk, but more like a small table without drawers and shelves in them.

Deffo good suggestions, going to look into them. Not expensive either.

I thought the last one would be good. It's not very deep at all but wide enough to fit a full size keyboard and mouse with a decent sized mouse pad. From what I see in the pictures it also has built-in cable management which is a plus ;)

The first one looks too small, second is okay if you can have the mouse on the left side since I game left handed.

I agree, the third one posted above is nice, bit of cable management also which could come in handy. I'm going to measure the first one first since that's the most simple looking which is ideal. This will just have mouse/keyboard on it, pick it up put it infront of TV when using PC, put to side of wall when not using it.

Similiar to the one I have now, was thinking of just buying another one and not attaching the bottom shelf but this might be a bit shorter in length which will be better.

It does fold out and supports laptops up to 17" so the middle section should fit a normal-ish size keyboard.

With the Ikea stuff you can go in and have a look at it anyway (which I'd strongly recommend).

I kinda got the idea you'd like something that you could easily move out the way when not in use.

I think that's what I said earlier somewhere SPS. :P But the table now costs £80, I got it for £40 at the time so I'll be trying to get a cheaper one.

Here is a pic just to show the kind of room we are talking about and why a desk is a no no lol. Going to do a sort of build thread with some pics shortly but thought I'd reply here first.

Did you put a glossy-screen tv opposite a window..

Bad form dude, bad form.

Also a desk would fit in there just fine :P

LOL! I know what you mean BUT honestly when it's on and your gaming/watching, it's really okay but when it's off and is black glossy it is just like a mirror!

Also no neck pains, I must have a long torso because my head doesn't need to tilt back, I sit backwards between that and the window and it's a perfect view. :)
