motherboard failure

Heya community,

the worst thing happened this morning! on my freaking birthday! a while ago i overclocked my 2500k to 4.2ghz on my ga-z68ap-d3 this has been a hell before. and i have had to clear cmos twice allready. now a few weeks ago i managed to get it stable without any further problems. but just to be safe i turned off sleeping mode since i suspect that to be the problem the last 2 times. this morning i wanted to boot up and suddenly it starts freaking starting up over and over again without really booting. and the 6th time it does boot and says there is a motherboard failure and that it has to use the second bios! like omfg.

please help. ive been to so much shit with this board and im heavily considering buying a new one.

any help is much appreciated,

With regards

they'll reboot over and over like that if ya have bad settings or the oc fails. simply unplug power cable from psu flip switch on psu push and hold power button on case for 10 seconds plug back in flip switch back and restart. Go into bios and make adjustments as needed to stabalize.

yeah i got it stable now in second bios, but tbh overclocking with 2500k shouldnt be this hard and i searched settings on the internet. but tbh i dont know shit about all the motherboard settings. do you know a good guide where i can learn about these settings?

with regards

Just set your ram to auto or 1333Mhz and change multi + vcore and you should be good to go. All CPU's will OC differently and after reading some guides it should be very easy to OC. A google search should bring up plenty of hits. Check for CPU stability and once you're happy set the RAM timings and frequency and test the RAM for stability.
