That doesn't necessarily mean it'll be any bigger or the same size as a 2080Ti. Vega VII had three fans and was only 300mm2 or thereabouts. Triple fan shrouds are just more efficient and are becoming more and more popular. First Nvidia introduced dual fan designs when they realised no one (read: most) wanted blower designs any more, and now they could be doing the same thing by ousting dual fan designs for their big boys. It makes sense to me, especially if they continue to charge more for their reference designs. Maybe they want their designs to be as competitive as their AIB partners. Their PCB's already are. And dual 8-pins have been commonplace in flagship products for years and years.
