More Mach 1 Help!

Well, this is turning into an epic!

My new NF7-s Ver2 arrived and I did the install, taking various bits of advice from your good selves and others - all was well - I didn't drown it in grease, and I didn't suffocate the back with insulation.

And it booted!

And posted and all looked well (even mem86'd the carp mem that I've got and it was good all the way to 190 (it's only 333mem!)

Anyway - that's where the party ended!

I cannot get it to boot into windows for love nor money. Stats at the moment are:

XP-M 2600+

NF7-s ver2

256Mb Ram (pc2700)

Running:

166x12 (tried all the way down to 166x9)

CPu - 1.775v

Mem - 2.7v

VDD - 1.7v

Agp - 1.6v

I've tried various combinations to no avail.

Mem is at 2.5-3-3-11 (tried by SPD and various others - mem86 tested fine so

)

Plugged in a HDD from another machine with XP already installed (thought it would save time!) Starts to boot and immediately resets (no scroll - doesn't get that far)

Tried Safe Mode - starts loading drivers and gets to agp440.sys and then reboots - every time.

I tried another drive that had Win 2000 and linux on it - 2000 reboots - Linux crashes, but gives a lot of detail - if this would help anyone, I can note down what it says!

I have not tried a clean install, might do it tomorrow, but can't see this making a difference (although all the other installs were on very different hardware?)

Ideas?

I'll be trying that tonight - the linux install did a lot of whinging about chipset problems which made me think that either the wrong drivers are causing problems or the hardware has problems - I'm hoping the install will do it.

Finally back home - going to be playing with this beast again tonight.

Just a quick question - has anyone used a Mach 1 on an NF7 -s ver 2 here with an XP-M chip. If so what temps were you getting in the bios for the CPU - mines showing between 0 and about 6C which seems a bit high (bad contact?) - or is this just down to carp temp reading in the bios? Trying to decide whether to go through the hastle of re-seating

And... If I do can someone recommend a good (and cheap) probe to add in to give me better reading on the CPU?

Cheers
