Monarch Computers Claims They Will Have Venices THIS WEEK!

I was just doing some research on the AMD forums and Monarch Computers has stated that their stock of Venice core A64's will be in this week so keep your eyes peeled... They should be hitting stores soon. I would image Newegg is going to try and have them up for sale before the end of the week as well, but they may not list them until they sell off there overstock of Winchesters.... In fact they're already offering free shipping on them to try and get rid of them so that they can put the Venices up for sale. No one is going to buy a Winnie over a Venice when theyre only $20 more and twice as powerful :) Not counting the noobs that won't know the difference between the two and won't spend the extra $20 on a chip that looks to be the same with a different core name, hehe.

I can't wait! I'll be ordering mine on the 22nd with any luck!

how much are they man (my nu loan is just in £1000 i dont really need; save or buy a venice mm i wonder)

Take the price of any speed Winchester and add $20-30 :) They're going to be price great... On the 22nd victory shall be mine, muahahahha!

Hehe...i'm not sure of what board i wanna get yet, or even if i'm gonna get an NF4 one or stick with AGP....

Don't want SLI tho really. This machine will just be for me to get some experience in the latest AMD's and also see how much i can overclock the chip :D

Yeah I agree - the extra bandwidth may benefit in the long run! :D

What vid you gonna run? You gotta have a good one if you're going AMD! That's what AMD are built for - gaming!! :cool:

6800GT OC'd to Ultra most likely or maybe a 6800U.....
