So with this being the case what doe the G-Sync module actually do?? Is it the equivalent of the network killer chips but for your monitor? i.e. It'll work fine without but there may be a fraction better performance with it?

As warchild and steve have said. Nvidia are not painting themselves in a good light at the moment

So that guy who claimed to make a driver that did Gsync without the module wasn't lying?

(even if it did turn out all he did was get hold of a development driver that was accidentally uploaded for a few minutes and stick his name on it...)

It really isn't looking pretty for them at the moment. But I know they will pick it up by announcing something new. Doesn't have to be released soon. They will let speculation and rumour pique and interest in sales..

However this only shows the closing figure of Jan 30th.

ouch. wonder if AMD's charts are the opposite.

Wow, well that's what you get when you make a catastrophic balls up like they did!

They still haven't even given a statement yet

Day hasnt closed yet, but Nvidia shares have risen once again. AMD continue to fall.

It's not a catastrophy in their eyes. And "technically" speaking it isn't. I say technically in a literal sense, not figure of speech ;)

Anybody wanna bet that they are using the pre-existing adaptive sync of mini displayport that AMD/VESA are expanding on with FreeSync, applying/expanding the technology for desktop monitors..?
