Who else is running windowsphone?

I'm running a Windows phone  it's the Lumia 640 LTE 4G, a huge step up from a HTC Wildfire S but damn I love Windows Mobile 8.1 and so looking forward to the 10 upgrade coming soon.

I used to own a Nokia lumia 800, not a bad phone :) then went on to the Samsung note 3 and upgraded to a S6 edge+ when it was released.

So far it's doing the job :)

I have a HTC 6S windows phone which I am not using since I got a Cubot X12 last week.
The cubot took a little setting up to get 4G sms etc but so far i'm impressed with it for the price I paid.

I'm running that also! My work phone is a Lumia 640 LTE.

My everything but work phone is a Xiaomi 4i Mi4i.

Tablet wise I have a Lenovo YogaTab pro mk1. Its a very unique device and its the only tablet I've heard of with a built in projector. The screen is by far the best bit though. Easily the nicest 1440p IPS panel I've ever seen.

The latest one is far more logically designed though.

Yes, I am in the minority. I have always had a BlackBerry, currently own a Z10 and a Z30 which is my daily driver. Regardless of what sceptics and people who really have a hate on for BlackBerry, my Z30 is a great phone. soon to aquire a Passport.

I used to have a Nokia Lumia 930 but I wasn't happy with it at all, as I kept on getting random reboots and some other bugs. Didn't quite like the lack of apps in the store, I missed pany things I used a lot on iOS. Since last summer I went for a OnePlus Two, and I'm very, very happy with it so far :)

I can't upload any pics today because Photobucket has been taken over by kittens. I have a Blackberry Passport atm as well as a BLU Windows phone I haven't looked at yet.

Nothing beats the tactile manner of the Blackberry and as much as I have tried I just can't get used to prodding a screen.

Awesome. I've been looking at the xaiomi handsets on an import site as a step back into the android field, I'm impressed with the hardware on those and the price too. Having worked on galaxies and iPhones for the last 3 years I don't like them one bit just overpriced tat with clever OS's.

With my Iphone I was forever charging it. It drove me potty !

And that was just an Iphone 4. Apparently the '5 is notably worse and when my step daughter stays with us she has to have it permanently connected to the charger.

Battery life is important for me. My Blackberry is bad enough, requiring a charge a day if I hit it heavy and every three days if I am just receiving emails ETC but yeah having to live near a charger put me off of anything Apple for life.

I read a news article the other day about Apple as it goes. Apparently they are starting to lose sales and so on. I guess it was only a matter of time with the true master gone.

Slowest since 2007.

As long as you get it from a decent reseller (and not the one I used) they're completly bloatware free and very fast. My only complaint is that my phone is a 16gb version without an SD card slot. The Red mi (IIRC) is the same phone but with a removable back and an sd card slot.

Personally I've always liked iPhones and if I was feeling like spending serious cash on a phone I'd still buy an iPhone over anything Android/Windows. I've never understood most of the hate towards them. Obviously there are a few valid points but most of the hate just seems to be people hating apple 'becuz apple lol xD'.

At one point it seemed that all android devices were becoming incredibly similar iphone-esque clones , which really put me off android as the whole appeal about going android was that things would be unique. It is nice to see that the big manufacturers are finally starting to realize this. As long as android continues to have the ability to be different, I'll probably stick with it. Even if there are still certain aspects of it that are inferior to iOS, it still has so much potential.

Sounds like Windows Phone is going to be dropped. :(

read

I read the article and honestly it seems like it was written by someone who simply didn't like the platform from the start.

I'd take it with a grain of salt as they've recently brought out the new 900 series, they have 1 or 2 other devices coming this year and the Windows 10 upgrade hasn't even happened on most devices yet.

Out of all phone platforms I've ever used, Windows Phone was the only one that always stuck to its promises of software updates tbh.

I hate Apple not just because "apple", I have a valid hate and disgust for everything they stand for and the pathetic hardware support. If I were to drop £600 - £700 on a phone I expect the support to last longer than 2 years and with the revenue they have they should have the best software support ever.

I had to deal with there support on Saturday and after much going back and forth their last suggestion was to visit my local Apple store and ask about the PC trade in service against a Mac!? WTF!! That's not a solution in my eyes just dirty marketing.

Then we have the horrid way they use bargain basement hardware in their products and then charge a fashion statement premium for it... the only thing Apple have going for them is the simplistic and easy to use iOS which I have to say is a breeze to work with.

I hate to be defending apple (as they have really stopped trying as of late..) but I'm pretty sure that is down to the individual store you went to. I've never actually had a problem with their support before, excluding that some idiots there advise against putting anti virus products on a mac because they totally don't get infections at all no siree..

In terms of hardware support I know they are supporting devices that are older than 2 years old too (they've only just dropped support for the 4, which is 6 years old). I don't think they've ever done that (2 year support) with anything?

The whole 'bargain basement' thing doesn't really make sense either imo . Especially considering that a current iphone is as fast/faster than the equivilent android flagship.. That said they still charge waay too much.

The battery life is always awful though. I love how both my Lumia and the Mi need charging twice a week whereas my 4s barely made it through a working day.

They charge WAY too much.. an iPhone 6 Plus (64GB) costs £155.11 to make and they sell for £640.00 (Vodafone price).. that is ridiculous, they are so cheap to repair which is another good point, I can get any parts at cost too.. unlike Samsung which are expensive to repair, the spares prices for Samsung Galaxies are bonkers. i.e I can replace an iPhone 6S screen at a cost of £15 - £20 for the screen (including the digitiser) where as the Galaxy S6 screens are £110 - £120 (including the digitiser).

iPhone 6 Plus: Cost to make £155.11 - RRP £650 (64GB)
Galaxy S6: Cost to make £201.89 - RRP £619 (64GB)

All this mental pricing makes the Xaiomi Handsets such an attractive option and the hardware they pack are impressive to say the least and Android for the win too, hell even the HomTom phones look impressive shame about the name though.

The top of the range Xiaomi is £400. Its excellent value for money. That said, my Mi4i is also really well built. It easily trumps most flagship phones.

I really regret not getting the £10 more version which has a removable battery and a sd card expansion slot though.
