Mobile AMOLED displays are now cheaper to produce than LCD

5 inch AMOLED displays are now cheaper to produce than equivalent LCD displays, making the thinner, brighter more energy efficient display technology cheaper for the first time. Expect budget phones to contain better displays soon.

Pretty interesting news, i don't see a point in higher than 1080p on a small display, but hopefully this is indicating that those screens are getting cheaper. Just means cheaper premium phones
