Minor Problem

Hey, as some of you know I was asking quite a few questions about my new build and I've finished it and got some pictures in the rig gallery, (One more to go up)

The minor problem I have is that when ever I power on the pc It'll start then turn off and back on again and then that's when it actually boots. It doesn't affect anything once I'm in and no performance issues but It just bothers me and I want to know why it happens.

Specs are:

Gtx 580 Lightning

Asus P67 Sabertooth

Mushkin Redline 1600Mhz

i7 2600k

Corsair AX1200

BitFenix Colossus

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB

Thanks

Also is 30c good for stock idle temps on the cpu with a NH-D14 and 40-60c on load depending on which game

and 33c for stock idle gtx 580 lightning abd 55-63c on load depending on which game?

Check your RAM is seated properly and in the right slots.

CPU temps are ok, that's what I get with my 2500K and my D14. Don't know about the 580 though but they sound about right.

I think its a memory issue, as I had this with my Deluxe and the Ridgeback ram. How many GB of mem do you have and how many sticks? Check that they are running @1.65v and if you have 2*2GB the timings are set to 6-8-6-24.

I've still to add extra fans for my case too going to get some NF-P12's or P-14's and fur LED's I'm going to get blue LED strips or white ones don't know yet so maybe temps will drop when I add more fans but then again it's in the colossus and air cooling isn't the best. Plan on watercooling in the future for both cpu and graphics card so probably need a new case because I think this case only supports a 240mm rad and I need to learn how to watercool lol.

4GB and I'm sure the timings and voltage is correct but I'll double check and also double check that it's in correct. Could be the RAM but since I built this at my uncles and took it back over to my house by car but it was packaged in the original box so probably just a little bump.

actually cpu-z says they are at 9-9-9-24 so I should manually set them to 6-8-6-24 in the bios?

the problem is away but somehow.

Have you got them set to 1600 mhz as opposed to 1333?

Dunno they may be set to 1333mhz because the bios said it I think, I'll check it all soon, I also get a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT blue screen so I guess the ram is a little loose because I built this in my uncles and bring it over here by car. I resat one of the sticks but the other is under the D14 so I'll take that out soon, they blue screens are very rare, I was playing crysis 2 and crysis for a long time last night without a problem.

Well this will explain everything to those who posted in this thread and are going to see this post (since it's been dead for a while)

Ok so I have sourced out the problem, both RAM sticks are working perfectly fine but they're an non-matching set, one of the sticks is recognized as PC3-12800, 6-8-6-24, 1600 MHz while the other is recognized as PC3-10600, 9-9-9-24, 1333 MHz, hence the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD's and the BIOS automatically setting the timings to 9-9-9-24 and the speed to 1333 MHz so that bother sticks were the same.

It explains the errors I was receiving in MemTest when testing both sticks at once so I done each individually
