They will be doing everything they can to make that so, yes. If they take responsibility they will have to replace every CPU they have sold.

Apparently they will be releasing mechanically patched CPUs later in the year. IE - time to start fusing off traces lmao.

Right, well maybe they should then... Instead of selling insecure CPUs worldwide, start to sell actually secure CPUs intead. Especially since you’ve been creating CPUs for decades and is the worlds largest CPU manufacturer. Hell you should know what you’re doing at this point. There’s no excuse to this!

That would likely bankrupt them many times over. I agree though, they are all faulty and really should be replaced.

But yeah after B2 Sandy? they won't be wanting to send out replacements...

They'll just keep paying fines to dodge the issue like they always do. Fines are often cheaper than actually fixing things...

I don't care tbh. I will just have one PC all patched up to do my Ecommerce with and then others with no sensitive info on them

I do like how I can buy a 10 core Broadwell E chip for £160, so yeah not complaining lmao. Plus Intel wouldn't replace any of my CPUs as they gave them away free in the first place
