Microsoft may be removing paint in Windows 10's Fall Creators update

Arh no! Batten down the hatches, pull up the draw bridge its a sit in protest! If paint goes, I'm moving back to Linux.

Are Microsoft deliberately making bad decisions? We have this thing that is good, but instead of keeping it we will remove it. Just to test how strong we are. Or probably it is some kind of psychological experiment that they conduct. Like: What will happen if i take this kid's toy? But on a much larger scale. Probably no start menu in Win8 was experiment too.

"Microsoft Paint

Will be available through the Windows Store. Functionality integrated into Paint 3D."

That's from the link in the article. So fear not paint-lovers it ain't going anywhere... yet...

It's probably being replaced with something a bit more up to date.

With something a but more up to date?... Like they did when they removed the start menu and replaced it with something a bit more up to date? When people didn't even like it. A touch-screen interface for desktops lol.

Do you really use Paint? Get paint.net problem solved, and its A LOT better.

Yeah, but then you need to actually get it. This one has always been there inside your OS (and yes, people are lazy these days...)

And while you're at it, you might then just as well get Photoshop... Most likely the best out there and A LOT better than paint.net.

I only use paint for pasting my screen captures into. But nonetheless, I still use it about every day. I use it for basic work too. I have Photoshop, but I don't really need it most of the time.

I think this is the most common use case for Paint right now. This article has been doing the rounds everywhere and it's been driving me mad, the correct title should be that Paint is being superseded by Paint3D but it's not as clickbaity.

I installed 10 Pro the other day and noticed Paint 3D. Not even looked at it yet will have to give it a look :)

Everything today is free on the internet dude in one way or the other, just gotta use your imagination ;)
If i come to your house and "pick up" your computer, it's also free ;)

But yes you can get almost anything online. But paint.net does a good job to my needs.
As my income has gone up, my use om illegal ways have gone down.
799 DDK a year for Office 365 incl. 1TB onedrive = Same price as Dropbox but incl the office pack, then i don't want to do anything illegal.

Games are all online, and i like to game with friends :) Last illegal game i had were Fallout 4. Play for maybe 100 hours, then i bought the game as i loved it, and wanted to support the company.
Windows defender and paint.net. There is often a free alternitive to most programs, then the risk isn't worth it :)

As a teenager and low income, totally different level of moral :D
