Microsoft adds GPU performance to Windows Task Manager

In the latest Insider Build of Windows 10, version 16226, Microsoft has added GPU performance metrics to the Windows task manager.

Wow... Great... 10 years late... No logging, no max values... What is the point of this addon?

Did they add anything to Perfmon (assuming that still exists) to log GPU data? Would be cool if they did that. Better late than never!

I don't see the point because anyone who want's to know GPU usage will use MSI Aferburner, or EVGA Precision or similar.

Sure, but it's great for noobs. And if they do a decent enough job, MS could eliminate the need for tools like that for monitoring. The old Perfmon was a fairly powerful took back in the day for trending and troubleshooting.

If they only implemented temperatures aswell then I would be happy. I want as little monitoring software as possible, but temperature monitoring is still necessary

Or why not look there instead of looking at a 3rd party tool? Is it so bad to improve an OS with new features?

Some people just aren't grateful today.. :lol:

I will happily welcome this addition it would have helped so many times while debugging something in situ where I'm not able to install a 3rd party tool.
