Hi Guys

I have started playing metro 2033, what a great game.....

I have all the settings at Max

Quality - Very High

AA - MSAA 4x (Also tried it on AAA)

Texture Filtering - AF16x

I am getting an average FPS of over 100FPS, I'm not complaining, but does this seem a bit high..... I know Metro is very graphic hungry.

Cheers guys

Yeah sorry I know it was a stupid question, I was just very surprised to get them FPS, I have seen it at 120FPS. so I just doubted it.

My CPU isn't overclocked and nor are my GTX 580's

There is another section in the menu for settings. It's for 'Advanced Depth of Field' (Thats the hungry feature), and Tesselation

That's great FPS for Metro 2033 seen as it's just as hard to run maxed out as Crysis was when that came out

I only have a 6850 and at certain points of the game I think I got ~5FPS during heavy action and ~40FPS the rest of the time.

If you can monitor the FPS at the section where Bourbon opens the old rusty gate that he talks to. Move around alot to get a good idea. That part is an FPS killer. It'll be interesting to know.

With 1 480 i got 19 minimum there, with 2 480's i got 39, thats with the 1st 480 OC'd a little.

SLI is great in METRO.

In a motherboards.org youtube vid 1 580 got 19 there too. Thats on the original driver

Use NVIDIA Control Pannel to make it better and turn on V Sync and tripple buffering for gameplay. The game is a beaut, V Sync makes it a favourite

screenies?

Can't seem to print screen, dunno why??.

Don't have a camera handy at the mo or I would take pic of the screen, when I was trying to get a screeny FPS was jumping about 70-90 fps

I just watched TTL video on the 580 SLI gameplay, and he was getting about the same, so must be right.....

i cant get a print screen of metro either from mine :/

need to use fraps or xfire to do it mate

sounds nice but what res?

I guess I shouldn't complain about the fps being high, sure if anything to was worry about it would be when it's low.

I wasn't really complaining, just wondering if it sounded right that was all

Cheers guys

use V Sync and tripple buffering for gameplay. The harware is designed for it

2 480's does give great fps, depending on where in the game. I lock it with V Sync, it runs at 60fps, it looks dribble

the ******* aliens/beasts are amazing, and stupid. thing i'd like improved is the shaping of the snow covered ground, it's squarish
