I ran Memtest earlier. If I run Memtest with only one cpu core it will pass. If I enable all 12 logical cores for the test it will lock up. Now I know I need to test this memory one stick at a time now but to someone more experienced with Memtest does this sound like bad memory or a weak IMC? 5820k 4x8:32gigs Corsair Lpx. Motherboard is X99 Sabertooth. I ran Memtest from a bootable usb stick for reference. It was the Passmark version.

Is the cpu overclocked?
No. I just ran Memtest again. And again it locked up within 30sec running all 12 cores. When I set it to run only one core it ran for 5 hours with no errors.
Edit: I hit optimize defaults in the bios before I ran it.

Are you running XMP profile on the memory?
No. That's what I forgot to add to my last response. I ran it at default 2133 to. With everything else at defaults. I hit F5 hit ok then booted Memtest.
